"Coronation" is a beautiful anthem most effectively performed with organ and in a resonant space.
Subtle changes in key feel add a sense of stair-stepping upward. Harmonic and melodic imagery is powerful!
Selected for the 2013 Labor Day at the Cathedral (for adult singers), Craig will be conducting five of his own compositions, this being one. As beautiful as this setting is, it is highly exciting to think of the sound of 200 adults singing this anthem in the National Cathedral with full orchestra and the composer conducting.
