Most choirs "would like to sing more a cappella music," but most music written for a cappella singing is fairly involved and, in a 2-3 minute anthem, there are numerous opportunities for the choir's pitch to "go astray." These etudes are simple and BRIEF so that the director and singers can concentrate, not for a long haul at first, but just in singing beautifully and in tune for a few short measures. Since the texts are Scripture, these little etudes are also usable in worship for meditations, transitions, benedictions, responses. Please feel free to get creative with what it written. We want them to work to your benefit!
This set contains eleven etudes, each a Psalm setting, and each with its own personality, tempo, and nuance.
