The HYFRYDOL hymn tune is beautifully and traditionally set in this big and ever-expanding SSAATTBB arrangement by the great Mack Wilberg. It is not for an emerging choir or a small choir that struggles with split or exposed sections, but the mass choir of a special event or a highly skilled large church or university choir will delight in the challenge and the fulfilling climax that is the final verse of this monumental arrangement. While rather long (between 5 & 6 minutes), this piece is worth the time and effort either for general worship, a special occasion, concert, or ecumenical combined choir experience. It will require a highly skilled organist and a director whose conducting and rehearsal skills are above average.
