A festival-like opening develops into a grand anthem for SAB mixed voices that depicts the majesty of God! The layering of voices creates a dynamic build from start to finish, while the contrast of the rhythmic syncopation and lyrical lines creates balance and breadth. A wonderful piece for adult or youth choirs; especially fitting as an opening selection or anthem of praise.

This anthem of praise would be an excellent choice for a concert opener for the young choir or any choir with limited experience. The baritone line of the SAB voice parts goes a bit low to be a perfect fit for cambiata voices, but it does not exclude those boys to the point that it shouldn't be selected. This anthem, well-taught and performed, will be a good source of pride and encouragement for a choir that needs confidence.
The Bottom Line
Pros
A nice stately SAB anthem for young or emerging choirs.
