A simple pentatonic melody surrounds Maria Poh Choo Ling's poetry to create a beautiful song of blessing and benediction. Accessible for singers of all ages in this flexible voicing, it can be performed by a treble choir alone, a mixed SATB choir alone, or a combination of both. You may also include Orff instruments, handchimes, finger cymbals and windchime with parts that are notated in the score for a truly special presentation.

This combined SATB/unison choir piece is a nice thing to include in worship or concerts for a variety of reasons from including children in a service that is not entirely centered around children to serving to show the multi-generational value of the church music ministry. Utilizing unison children, combined unison youth/adult, 2-pt, and SATB voicings, this is a very versatile and accessible anthem for almost any occasion and almost any combination of singers. Add the orff instruments, percussion, or handchimes, and you have a guaranteed audience pleaser and a nice way to strengthen the children's choir.
The Bottom Line
