This is a dramatic Palm Sunday anthem with a twist: the triumphal entry and a glimpse of the near future and the sacrifice that is to come. A skilled pianist will enjoy this accompanist, but the full orchestration is an exciting tool for the church or concert with that option. This is a well-written big, grandiose portrayal of a dramatic event, but the part-writing is just not that difficult. Most SATB church choirs (even youth choirs) with independent sections and average musical skills will be able to perform this piece without question.
