It would seem very difficult to successfully reset the text of the hymn "Be Thou My Vision," but Claude L. Bass does it with his usual level of excellence in this fine anthem. It is suitable for both experienced youth and adult choirs. This new-composed treatment is a near-perfect setting with a few small hints of the hymntune SLANE, known well by most congregations, which even endear it more to the singer and listener alike.
