Written in the immediate days following the World Trade Center disaster, this Psalm 46- based anthem highlights the power and providence of God. "Though towers fall in the heart of the city, the Lord is always near" provides current and timeless imagery of the power, love, and faithfulness of God. The music is strong and most powerfully communicated with an excellent baritone soloist and full orchestra.

Part of the Youth Cue Series.

This piece, written following the the 2001 attacks on World Trade Center, this mostly unison/solo anthem has a brief 4-part treatment at the final verse. It would be a tremendous piece for youth or adults to sing in a 9-11 commemoration/remembrance service.

The Bottom Line

Pros
A nice way to feature a soloist, especially baritone.
