Well-written, jubilant anthem which will ignite energy into rehearsal, performance, or worship. The melody, counter-melodies, harmonies, and dissonances work together to bring about a fresh, new millennium feel, and yet the anthem will not be dated by any type of stylistic fad or trite musical treatment.
A lovely B Section occurs close to the end, creating a lovely contrast as well as a strong, peaceful statement: "God's steadfast love endures forever."
"Make a Joyful Noise" makes creative use of 8/8 rhythms, and this, in itself is an excellent teaching opportunity for directors. There are many more lessons to be discovered in this fine anthem, as well!

The Bottom Line
Pros
Bright, happy, appealing
Cons
Might at first appear to simplistic for more advanced student choirs. A closer look might reveal otherwise! Very nice anthem!
